It is just after 7pm here in Maryland. Lauren had a tough morning. She slept really good last night and then woke up good this morning. She was very thirsty and drank a bunch of diet Sprite but promptly threw it up all over dad. Tami stayed with her brother John last night and she showed up just after this. Lauren didn't eat her breakfast and when I left, Lauren threw up again (tons) all over Tami. The nurses tested Lauren's glucose level and it was a little low and Lauren looked very ketotic. They gave Lauren a little OJ to help. Lauren wasn't interested in the OJ and she wasn't interested in her medicines. Like we did last night we had to force Lauren to have her medicine. Actually, we had the nurses do it this morning. Lauren was pretty tired and lethargic all day. We took Lauren with us to our classes. We met with the other parents and the dietician about a computer program we can use to help calculate the foods. We also reviewed other things we need to know about the diet and situations Lauren might be in. Lauren did start drinking some water this afternoon and had her lunch at 5pm. This time she ate about 2/3 of her "eggs" which is really an eggnog mix they put in the microwave. Since that time she has been much more lively. She is now walking around and out playing in the playroom.

We check the updates a couple times of day. Thank you for keeping us informed. I am sorry about the tough morning and the throwing up. We both know how we feel about that. We are sooo glad to hear that she is eating the "eggs". It sounds like she has a little more energy now. I only hope that it continues. I am sorry that it has been a rough and trying few days. Good luck tomorrow. We love you. Give Lauren a hug for us. All is well at home. Bonnie is doing a great job. Love Lisa
