The emotional roller coaster continues. During the night Lauren had a grand mal seizure in her bed which woke me up at about 3:45am. We monitor her room and keep the volume very high so we can hear every movement. The seizure lasted about 30-60 seconds and then she went into the post-ictal state. She seemed ok and then went back to sleep. This morning she had a very slight drop before breakfast. After these two episodes she had a pretty good day - no other seizures. Since Saturday morning Lauren has been in kind of a dazed state. Not really having seizures but just not her normal self. It is interesting how you can kind of tell that she may have seizures that day. Anyway, she was a little like this again today, but not as bad. She did play with the kids around the house and then played pretty well at grandma's house. Lauren did well eating her food today. Tami is still experimenting to find the right combinations of food that balance the diet with Lauren's tastes. Since Lauren is often irritable in the mornings she had the cream & egg scrambled egg mix for breakfast. The butter is getting more difficult for Lauren to eat so Tami made peanut butter-butter lollie pops for her to eat. Lauren ate these all fine. We spend a tremendous amount of time working on meals for Lauren. It is definitely exhausting. Each day is taken hour by hour but we feel like weeks go by after just a day or two. Our other children have been great to help out and seem to be doing well. I'm sure it is tough on them. Thanks again for all the support and prayers.
